Eola Hills is the first winery in the Pacific Northwest to make a public commitment to our region’s economic and fermentation future will be the first donor to the experimental vineyard at Clark College at Boschma Farms in Ridgefield, Washington.
Pinot Noir and Chocolate will be hosted in the “Barrel Room” of Eola Hills Wine Cellars from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 22nd. Tickets are $85. The event will feature six pairings of Pinot Noir with chocolates prepared by Fleur Chocolate and select appetizers. A colorful presentation on the Boschma Farms experimental fermentation program will be presented at 6 p.m. Total donations from this event are expected to raise between $10,000 and $20,000.
This first gift of funds to Boschma Farms of Clark College will create a working and educational vineyard with pathways for visitors and curriculum for the future winemakers of the Pacific Northwest. Several designated acres at Boschma Farms at Clark College will utilize the funds this year to develop an infrastructure of land, irrigation systems and laboratories. The initial rootstock is anticipated to be planted in the spring of 2018.
