First Annual Arbor Day Celebration

Another inspiration of Founder Tom Huggins, our First Annual Arbor Day Celebration is the realization of decades worth of devotion to preserving nature and fostering a love for the outdoors. As a former agricultural insurance specialist in the 1970’s, Tom’s passion for cultivating the land has always been a part of his calling. It’s why he ended up planting vineyards in the Willamette Valley back in the early 80s and acquiring and developing Legacy Estate Vineyard in 2008.
To ring in this Earth Day & Arbor Day week, we invite you to join us for a celebration of trees and the importance and value they bring to our ecosystems and way of life.
Spend the afternoon with Founder Tom Huggins and our rockstar Vineyard Team planting trees and trail building at Legacy Estate Vineyard. Enjoy a swag bag and a tree of your own to take home.

12-4pm (Check-In Openings At 12pm, 12:30pm, and 1pm)
The Details:
Upon arrival, guests will be greeted and checked in at our Legacy Estate Tasting Room and given your Swag Bag. Afterwards, you will be directed to a “workstation” where you will receive a bucket including soil and small sapling. A Host will then take you to a flagged location to assist with the planting of your special tree! (Hosts will be easily identified with a safety vest and will be present throughout the afternoon to assist or answer questions.) If additional trees are available, guests are welcome to plant more!
After completing the planting, guests are welcome to explore our Wiking Trails (maps in hand) or continue assisting with trail work – another effort Tom has taken on to expand our hiking trails to scenic destinations and areas of our property.
Following your tree planting and trail work, guests are welcomed back to our Legacy Estate Tasting Room to enjoy a glass of wine outdoors on our covered patio. As another little gift from Eola Hills, attendees will enjoy exclusive offers on wine purchases and walk away from our First Annual Arbor Day Celebration with a tree of their own to plant at home.
