Experience authentic Willamette Valley wine from a proudly independent Oregon winery
40 Harvests in the Hills

Great wine begins with a sense of place, but its story is completed by the people who gather around the table to enjoy it.
For four decades, Eola Hills Wine Cellars has brought those elements together. Established in 1986, the winery began with a collaborative spirit, a pioneering outlook and a belief that Oregon could produce wines of remarkable character. Its first vintage totaled just 1,500 cases. Today, Eola Hills remains proudly independent and locally owned, with more than 235 acres of vineyards and wines enjoyed throughout the United States and around the world. Learn more about Eola Hills’ story and winemaking philosophy.
Growth has expanded the winery’s reach, but it has not changed its purpose: to produce expressive wines that reflect Oregon’s distinctive growing conditions and to create welcoming experiences that bring people together.
Wines Rooted in Oregon
The Willamette Valley is internationally recognized for cool-climate varieties, especially Pinot Noir. Its mild maritime climate, long growing season and diverse volcanic and marine sedimentary soils allow grapes to develop flavor gradually while retaining the acidity and balance that give Oregon wines their energy.
Eola Hills’ estate vineyards are located within the Eola-Amity Hills American Viticultural Area, one of Willamette Valley’s most respected winegrowing regions. The winery’s dry-farmed vineyards encourage vines to establish deep root systems and adapt naturally to the conditions of each vintage.
That respect for the vineyard continues in the cellar. Under the direction of Head Winemaker Steve Anderson, the goal is not to overpower the fruit but to allow the character of the grape and vineyard to remain at the center of the wine. Oak is used thoughtfully to add texture, complexity and length without masking the wine’s identity.
The Eola Hills portfolio offers something for a wide range of wine drinkers and occasions. Pinot Noir may be the signature of Willamette Valley, but guests can also discover Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, sparkling wines, dessert wines and distinctive red blends. From approachable everyday selections to small-production reserve wines, the collection invites exploration without making wine feel intimidating.
Farming with the Future in Mind
Eola Hills views its vineyards as more than a source of grapes. They are a long-term responsibility and a legacy for future generations.
The winery follows a low-input approach to viticulture, making farming decisions according to the needs of each vineyard site. Dry farming helps reduce runoff and protect groundwater resources, while biological and mineral-based treatments are used when appropriate to manage vineyard pressures.
This approach is practical rather than performative. Healthy vineyards are essential to producing authentic wines year after year. By paying close attention to the land and working with the natural conditions of each site, Eola Hills seeks to preserve both the quality of its wines and the agricultural future of the region.
