The duo\, Sarah and Blaine\, have cultivated a sound that is both timeless and classic\, yet they still succeed in bringing something fresh to the table\, pushing rootsy-Americana sounds into an edgy\, alternative space. These two have carved out a reputation as a must-see live act\, allowing them to open for such acts as The Wood Brothers (SalmonFest 2016)\, Michael Franti & Spearhead (SalmonFest 2018)\, Chris Eldridge\,Tim O’Brian\, Tony Trischka (Charm City Folk & Bluegrass Festival 2013)\, Rod Picott\, Lake Street Dive\, Ben Sollee & the Kentucky Native and Joe Newberry. \nBoth members utilize their multi-instrumental skills to sing\, play stringed instruments and hold down back-beats\, all simultaneously for a truly engaging experience. But they are not simply just entertainers. It is their mesmerizing vocal harmonies and beautifully crafted songwriting that really tug at the heartstrings and earn them life-long fans. The duo originally formed in Maryland in 2010\, but after completing 2 (completely DIY) National tours\, Sarah and Blaine decided to relocate to Portland\, OR. At first they hit the streets\, busking downtown\, but it didn’t take long for folks to take notice. Pretty Gritty are now playing at venues all over the Pacific Northwest. An EH favorite for sure – they’ve joined us for Memorial Day\, Summer Uncorked and more! When we need live music\, we always give this dynamic duo a call. Don’t miss this contagiously optimistic modern folk duo at our first August Summer Uncorked Garden Sessions event. Spending the majority of their career relentlessly touring the US and Europe\, the Portland\, Oregon based duo has reinforced their upbeat brand of hopeful anthems during the pursuit of an unconventional dream.\n \nThe heart of the project is the shotgun\, wiz bang\, love story that primary songwriters Sarah Vitort and Scott Gilmore experienced upon first meeting\, with an edge that comes from years in the trenches as lead singers of their respective rock and roll outfits. The result is a heartwarming mix of Jim Morrison and Dolly Parton with a dose of Nathaniel Rateliff swagger.\n \nAfter a strong sophomore showing with their 2018 record “Better Land”\, which Jake Craney from Ground Sounds called “exceptional\, and impossible not to love”\, Fox and Bones is back in the studio completing their next full length album slated for release in November\, 2020 on DUTCH RECORDS.\n \n\n \n\n \n\nThe Details:\n\nDoors at 5:30 pm | Music 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm \nRotating Food trucks + Wine Bar \nEola Hills is committing to provide our guests with a safe venue to the best of our ability. Their newest release\, Mind is a Mountain\, highlights their emotive and gritty roots aesthetic while hinting at soul with simmering grooves\, yearning vocals\, and purposeful lyrics. Produced by Grammy Award winning artist\, Son Little (Mavis Staples\, RJD2)\, the quintet mines an amalgam of classic rock\, swampy blues\, vintage soul\, R&B and gospel in their mission to move people.\n \nDon’t miss our Summer Uncorked Garden Session with The Get Ahead. We are excited to bring back LIVE MUSIC and the artists we love for a little Friday night fun at our heritage Eola Hills Wine Cellars. Our backyard bar is the perfect spot for Summer Uncorked Garden Sessions\, every Friday in July and August from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Pick up a delicious local meal from our food truck partner of the week\, grab a chair (or bring your own) and enjoy the sweet sounds of summer and some semblance of normality in these strange times. Tickets and availability are limited. Please purchase in advance!\n \nUPDATE (6/27/20): We are saddened to announce that Green Mountain Guild has to pull out of our show due to a family emergency. We can’t wait to have them back again when they are able. \n \nWhile we will be missing their sweet sounds\, we are delighted to welcome a newcomer to Eola Hills Summer Uncorked: Kinglsey! \n \n\n \n\nBringing a stripped down\, serene acoustic version of her show to us in the garden. \n\n\n\nGrowing up in the shadows of Chicago\, Kingsley was raised to the rhythms of house music. The third eldest daughter  of eight\, she demonstrated a strong desire to perform and sing from an early age. She sang before she could talk\, belting out Disney tunes and performing for family and friends. She joined the choir when she was 8 and taught herself to play guitar and piano. At age 10 she started a band. Inspired by pop music she began writing and producing her own songs. \nIt seemed she was destined for the stage\, but life had other plans. While Kingsley was dreaming of the pop charts\, she was also breaking school records in High Jump – track and field. Offered a sports scholarship she went off to college. To keep her love of music alive she took vocal performance classes\, but sports\, with its relentless demand for success\, threatened her dream. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThen as fate would have it\, in her third year of college\, Kingsley was diagnosed with a competitive heart condition that ended her track and field days forever. Undeterred\, and secretly relieved\, she was finally free to devote her full attention towards her true passion.  \nShe started an all-female a Cappella group\, and developed skills in beat boxing and arranging\, graduating with a degree in Vocal Performance and Business Administration. \nKingsley’s unique and unforgettable voice will warm you up and melt you down. Her presence is captivating and overwhelming\, she sings only on her personal experiences of life\, love\, and her journey of becoming Kingsley. Kingsley doesn’t just stick with one genre\, her vocal can do anything – her song are influenced by pop to R&B and anything in between! Kingsley has been making strong headway with opening up for acts like Elise Trouw and SG Lewis! \n\n\n\n\nThe Details:\n\nDoors at 5:30 pm | Music 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm \nRotating Food trucks + Wine Bar \nEola Hills is committing to provide our guests with a safe venue to the best of our ability. DESCRIPTION:\n \n \n\nSummer Uncorked Garden Sessions | Pendleton Highway\n\n \nSummer Uncorked\, the Willamette Valley’s premier concert series\, has been reimagined for today’s social-distancing times. Tickets and availability are limited. Please purchase in advance!\n \n\nPendleton Highway comes to Eola Hills for the first time and for our final Summer Uncorked Garden Sessions event! Pendleton Highway is country dance band providing music in the style of Little Big Town\, The Band Perry\, Josh Turner\, Miranda Lambert\, and many others. Seating and spacing is limited so grab your tickets here! \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n  \nIn 2018\, Pendleton Highway\, formally known as the Jimmy Bobby band\, was born. When a band member from Jimmy Bobby decided to leave the band \, Jimmy sought out the one person that vocally was sure to amaze those that would hear her\, Becca. “The first time I heard Becca sing she brought tears to my eyes” describes Jimmy. \nThe magic doesn’t end there. With Becca’s incredible vocal range to Jimmy’s high energy antics on stage\, Pendleton Highway can only be experienced. It is obvious the two are not strangers to entertainment as with the rest of the band. The bands philosophy is “Everything Leads to the Stage”. “We want everyone that comes to our shows to walk away with a moment\, something that WOW’s them!” said Jimmy. You will be entertained! \n\nRounding out the band with their sweet sounding 4 part harmonies and jaw dropping guitar solos are Rich Lee\, Huck Berry\, Kim Smith and Joe Ficek. Rich\, originally from Kansas City\, is the bassman who has been with the band from the start. Kim Smith is the foundation of Pendleton Highway’s  goose bump harmonies. Joe Ficek\, the drummer\, joined the band after leaving the Most Wanted band. Joe’s country drumming style is a compliment to the original flavor of Pendleton Highway. Lastly Huck Berry\, The bands lead guitar player brings an amazing quality with his picking\, sound and versatility. Keep a close eye on Huck. He brings a stage presence all his own.\n \n \n \n\n \n \n\nThe Details:\n\nDoors at 5:30 pm | Music 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm \nRotating Food trucks + Wine Bar \nEola Hills is committing to provide our guests with a safe venue to the best of our ability.
